Fortifying, purifying and sanitizing, Lemon essential oil is appreciated for stimulating the body. Its fine and fruity scent makes it very pleasant and its lemon zest flavor is ideal in cooking.

Part of the plant used: Zest (pericarp of the fruit) of Botanical name: Citrus limon, Botanical family Rutaceae

Precautions

  • Do not expose yourself to the sun for at least 8 hours after applying this highly photosensitizing oil. For use in cosmetics, it is recommended to prefer Lemon essential oil without furocoumarins.
  • Irritating in its pure state, use well diluted for any skin application.
  • Not recommended during the first three months of pregnancy.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with eyes.
  • Some natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in certain sensitive people when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition: limonene and to a lesser extent, citral (geranial and neral), linalool.

As a general rule, always do a test application of your preparation, in the crease of the elbow, at least 48 hours before using it.
